Goals and Objectives: Within the first 60 days, put together a qualified technical and strategic plan to support the winning of major municipal projects within the Water Service Sector, specifically in the area of water resources/water system supply and treatment for the Florida Sector Within the first six months, put together a strategy that facilitates your recruiting, mentoring, and professional development of junior staff
  • Within the first year, secure leadership roles in organizations and expand your network throughout the municipal market
  • Within the first year, apply your technical and business expertise to increase your service sector revenue, which will be measured by net revenue booked, net revenue managed, the profitability of your projects, and the utilization of your staff
  • You will have the support of the East Divisions Senior Vice President and other Group Leaders responsible for supporting our municipal clients in the fields of water, wastewater and civil engineering to help put your team in place
  • Parsons has strong on-going in-house management and technical training support, which will help you expand your own expertise as well as supporting mentoring and staff development goals
  • You will have the freedom to secure work in the Florida region, focusing on planning, engineering, design, construction management, and alternative deliver projects for our municipal client set, Parsons is in the process of rapidly expanding in the Southeast United States
  • You will have support in all of our geographies, PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: A 4-year degree in civil engineering or related engineering discipline and 20 years of broad and diversified experience; a minimum of 10 years in municipal water resources/water system supply and treatment infrastructure
  • Florida Professional Engineer (P
  • E
  • ) registration, recognition in the industry as a water resources professional and active membership in a professional society is also required
  • SKILLS/COMPETENCIES: Proven ability for managing a large and diverse group of personnel within field of expertise and providing direction for resolving complex work assignments
  • Also requires expert knowledge of standard practices within field of expertise, as well as applicable codes and regulations
  • Must be knowledgeable of best practices for utilizing communication technology, automation, and various software applications in order to achieve the highest level of productivity within organizational unit
  • Recognition in the inudstry as a water resources professional;excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to make effective presentations to senior management, must also be demonstrated
